There&rsquo;s something unforgettable about a wedding on the Fourth of July. And for Justin and Taylor, that feeling came alive in a beautiful celebration just steps from the shore, where the sea breeze danced through the trees and fireworks lit up more than just the sky.
Set in at <a href="https://beachweekendvenue.com/">The Venue at Beach Weekend</a>, their wedding blended intimate charm with effortless elegance. No bridal party. No fuss. Just the two of them, surrounded by their closest family and friends, and a whole lot of heart.

 A Slow Morning, Together
One of the most beautiful things about Justin and Taylor&rsquo;s day was how calm it felt. Instead of the typical whirlwind, they eased into the morning with intention. Taylor got ready quietly, surrounded by soft light and the hush of anticipation. Her dress was simple, stunning, and exactly her. Justin, relaxed but beaming, looked out toward the water as he buttoned up, taking it all in.

While not on the sand itself, the ceremony was held outside the venue in an elegant outdoor setting.

 Golden Hour: Light, Love, and Laughter
After the ceremony, we snuck away with the couple for portraits in the softest evening light. The setting sun gave everything a golden glow, and Justin and Taylor moved through it effortlessly&mdash;laughing, holding hands, stealing quiet moments between shots.
Every frame felt like a postcard: wind in her hair, his hand on her back, both of them completely present with each other. It was one of those rare times where you don&rsquo;t have to say a word&mdash;every glance between them said it all.

 The Reception: A Celebration Under the Sky
The reception was relaxed, joyful, and full of personality. Guests mingled outdoors, enjoying cold drinks, coastal fare, and music that drifted through the warm July air. There was dancing under string lights, heartfelt toasts, and the kind of energy that makes a night feel endless.
And then&mdash;just as the night hit its stride&mdash;the sky lit up. A full Fourth of July fireworks show burst into color above the treetops, and everyone turned toward the sky, faces lit with wonder. Justin and Taylor watched together, arms around each other, the sparks above mirrored by the ones between them.

I absolutely do not have adequate words to describe the perfection of this couple, their friends and family, this venue, and this entire wedding, but I also can't stop talking about it! From the moment we arrived at B&amp;A Warehouse, we were absolutely stunned by the beautiful, softly filtered overhead light provided by the skylights, the interesting spaces found in every room- our favorite was the Bottle Room, lined with floor to ceiling bookshelves filled with a mind-blowing number of books and bottles- and the warm and welcoming staff who did everything possible to help us make the most of this phenomenal space. The juxtaposition of Stems and Styles' soft, warm boho floral designs with the exposed brick and industrial feel of the warehouse looks incredible in their photos and video. DJ Prez with Superior Sound was a dream to work with and the dance floor was never empty, and Barb's Cakes made me do a little happy dance when I finally got to taste their wedding cake!

The stars of this show were, obviously, Meagan and Michael. Not only are they a beautiful couple, but they're also genuinely kind people who were a blast to hang out with! They put complete and total trust in our vision, and that creative freedom goes a loooong way toward both getting perfect photos AND making us love them even more! Every part of this wedding day was just magical, and these two were the cherry on top.

Being a little bit wedding obsessed, I truly do get excited about every wedding I attend, whether I&rsquo;m a guest or a vendor. Some weddings just tick EVERY SINGLE box for me, though, and Lauren and Austin&rsquo;s New York elopement did just that!
Let&rsquo;s start with the dress- I love all things dark and moody, so when I saw Lauren&rsquo;s fitted black gown, I literally gasped! There&rsquo;s something so timeless and elegant to a chic satin sheath silhouette, and it fit the vibes for New York perfectly.

Speaking of New York, I was over the moon to return to one of my favorite cities and to create art there! I love everything- the people, the hustle, the architecture and street art- it all just makes me feel alive! I knew there&rsquo;d be no shortage of beautiful background scenery, and Peter with Filmcars was the best possible tour guide we could have asked for! Not only did he ferry us around in the coolest vintage yellow NYC taxi, he regaled us with as many tales as he could from his times driving celebrities and working with his vintage cars on film sets, and his knowledge of the city and suggestions on locations to film were absolutely priceless.

We started the day with Lauren and Austin helping each other get ready in their room at the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn, and made our way to the iconic Rockefeller Center for the couple to exchange private vows at 620 Loft and Gardens, with a breathtaking view of St. Patricks Cathedral and all of 5th Avenue below us. We then joined the couple for a celebratory lunch at Norma&rsquo;s- a delicious Italian eatery chosen by Lauren because it shares a name with her grandmother. From there, we made our way across the most iconic sights the city has to offer, from Central Park all the way back to Brooklyn for a sunset view of the Manhattan skyline under the Manhattan Bridge. This whole day still feels like an absolute fever dream to me. Even with a little bit of rain, it was absolutely perfect from start to finish, and we&rsquo;ve got the pictures and video to prove it!

"I'm an Alabama native originally but call Hattiesburg, MS home. I'm a father and husband to a beautiful family. I'm a huge gamer, car enthusiast and I've had my musical taste described as "elevator metal music" (I like a lot of instrumental stuff). After riding the wheels off of singing and playing in bands, I came back home and picked up a camera in 2012. I shot my first wedding in 2013 and never looked back. Since then I've shot well over 400 weddings. 

I value three things above everything else when it comes to the working relationship with my clients: Quality of work, Communication and Authenticity. I prefer the road less traveled and strive to always stay original in an industry where everything can get . . . trendy.  

Using light in environments most “natural light” photographers would shy away from is one of my favorite things.

My ideal couple is fun and trusts my vision. They don't take themselves too seriously yet know how to be genuine with each other.
